Political Hub in Fonthill
May 27, 2014

Tim Hudak's Fonthill election campaign office has become a political and social hub.
Each Wednesday and Friday morning, right up to the election, residents are welcome to drop in for coffee and join in political discussions.
"It's a place where people can discuss politics with each other, ask questions of our campaign team, clarify issues, express ideas and really have their voice heard," explains Tony Kamphuis, Hudak's campaign manager for the local re-election campaign, adding the coffee is on the house.
"We're embracing our location's past, as the original Donut Diner, and putting the coffee pot on."
The Fonthill office is Hudak's second election campaign office in the riding.
Kamphuis says the riding and constituents are important to Hudak, and this is why "Tim wants to see us with two offices up and running."
"Niagara West - Glanbrook is a large riding with a significant rural area," says Kamphuis. "Opening two offices means the residents of Pelham will have easier access to information on Tim's campaign, pick up or request a lawn sign get information on the election itself, and also have the opportunity to pitch in and help bring change to Ontario."
"The Fonthill office is also a convenient rally spot for local volunteers."
Kamphuis explains the space is large, more than the campaign team needs on a daily basis, so inviting residents in for a free cup of coffee and an opportunity to discuss the election made perfect sense.
Hudak, the incumbent in Niagara West - Glanbrook riding, is also leader of the Ontario PC Party and is campaigning to become premier of Ontario.
While his efforts across the province will take the Tory leader to the east, the west and the north, he wants his campaign team to be readily accessible.
The Pelham office is located at 124 Highway 20 in Fonthill (the former home of Pelham Cares) and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. The office will be closed on Sundays. The Grimsby office is located at 43 Main Street East in Grimsby.
